Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for ordering, receiving, mixing and distributing ink or other coatings used in the manufacturing process. Compare color of printing ink with sample to ensure adherence to formula or customer specifications. Check samples of new ink or coatings characteristics such as color, drying time, density as required to ensure it is within tolerance for machinery and finished product. Recycle and re-use ink by blending matches when possible. Dispose of waste ink. Review job specifications for ordering ink. Perform ink solids verification upon request. Load new ink formulas into Mixmaster system.
Order production supplies and manage manufacturing supplies and ink inventories. Seek out low cost suppliers to maximize savings. Minimize investment in supplies inventory, while minimizing any interruptions to production due to supplies shortages. Maintain P-card transaction records and submit in a timely manner.
This position will be responsible for learning the cleaning, maintaining of number head preparation for all orders requiring mechanical numbering.
This position will also require some additional administrative duties as assigned

Education: High school diploma or its equivalent preferred.
Experience: Manufacturing experience preferred, but not required.
Qualifications: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, standard operating procedures and other related documents and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to determine variances in colors. Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers. Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fraction, and decimals. Ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Basic window based computer skills.
Essential Functions: The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance. The employ must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
